Chabad Student Board

The student board is at the heart of the Scharf Family Chabad House. In addition to planning, marketing, recruiting, and executing all of our events, the student board as a whole serves as an ambassador for Chabad. Each student represents Chabad on campus and does their best to get more students involved in Jewish life at Princeton.

Arielle Mindel'21
(President)

Hi! I'm Arielle and I'm a junior studying Psychology and pursuing a certificate in Gender and Sexuality Studies. Some of my favorite activities include eating chocolate, learning how to play random instruments, sleeping, knitting hats, baking for my friends, and going to Shabbat dinner at Chabad.

Jay Kaplan'23
(Holiday Chair)

My name is Jay Kaplan and I am a freshman from Johannesburg, South Africa. I am studying Chemical & Biological Engineering and after a long week in the lab there is nothing better than the home cooked Shabbat meal and company at Chabad. The Webbs are like family and make Shabbat and Chagim feel like I’m back at home. I can’t wait for an awesome year on Chaboard and for many more incredible experiences at Chabad.

Barry Hanon
(Chesed Chair)

Hey! I’m Barry from Brooklyn, New York and my favorite way to keep busy is by planning fundraiser events! I love traveling and always enjoy some basketball games. I find Chabad to be amazing for many reasons, but it’s warm environment is especially noteworthy. As a freshman, I found Chabad to be a great way to settle in on campus, and I’m very excited to contribute as a board member in the upcoming year!

Jesse Brewer
(Chesed Chair)

Hi, my name is Jesse Brewer and I am from right here in Princeton, New Jersey! (Yes, I moved one mile down the street to go to college...) Here at Princeton, I am on the pre-med track and thinking of majoring in Molecular Biology with a certificate in Global Health Policy. On campus, I am a member of Princeton's Running Club, a PAA in Forbes, and I write sports articles for our campus newspaper the Daily Princetonian. You can usually find me outside in the sun, running along the canal, or at one of the many coffee and ice cream stores in town (Shout out to Small World Coffee and the Bent Spoon:) !

Jeremy Chizewer '21
(Treasurer)

I'm a sophomore studying Computer Science. In my free time, I like to play board games and read math textbooks. I love the community at Chabad, and I look forward to another great year on the board!

Avi Bendory
(Vice President)

Hi everyone, I'm Avi, and I'm a junior from Livingston, New Jersey studying Electrical Engineering with a certificate in Computer Science. I can be found at Chabad several times a week, whether it's for Shabbat dinner, raiding the fridge, Sunday late meal, or a quiet study space. I love Chabad because it's my home away from home, and I'm excited to be a part of the Chaboard this year!

Naomi Benenson '23
(Shabbat Chair)

I am a first year interested in studying economics, math, and dance. Outside of Chabad, I am involved in Disiac Dance Company, the Performing Arts Council, and Tiger Launch.

Chloe Satenberg '23
(PR Chair)

Hello! I’m Chloe, and I’m a freshman from Los Angeles. In addition to being a Chababe, I’m a member of Fuzzy Dice Improv Comedy and a staff writer for Nassau Literary Review. Chabad is an amazing community, and I’m so lucky to have such a fun place (filled with good food) to spend my Friday nights.

Katie Irelan '22
(Social Chair)

What's up Chadudes! My name is Katie Irelan and I'm a sophomore majoring in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. This is my second year on the Chaboard and I'm really excited to continue being a part of the family.

Stuff I do on campus: row on the lightweight crew team, do lots of PSETs, and count down the days until Shabbat every week.

Sarah Drapkin'22
(Social Chair)

I’m Sarah Drapkin and I’m a sophomore from Philadelphia potentially studying History (subject to change). Outside of Chabad, I am on the Crew team and involved in Outdoor Action and Tigers for Israel. I love Chabad for the tight knit community and incredible Shabbat dinners!

Dan Gitelman '21
(Member at Large)

Hey! My name’s Dan and I am from West Hartford, Connecticut. I love all things tech-y and politics-y but above all I love Chabad! Shabbat dinners are the best and the community is amazing!

Eve Brewer '22
(Holiday Chair)

Hi I'm Eve! I'm a sophomore in Rocky and am on the Club Hockey team and am in my second year of ROTC. I love coffee, anytime that isn't winter in Princeton, and puppies (who doesn't lol).

Zandra Campbell '22
(Events Chair)
Noa Zarur '21
(PR Chair)

Hi! My name is Noa Zarur and I am a junior from Los Angeles, CA. I am studying computer science and pursuing a certificate in entrepreneurship. On campus I am involved in the Princeton Entrepreneurship Club, Envision, and Tigers for Israel. Chabad is my home away from home and one of the best parts of my college experience! The people, food and their insta make me happy!

Tess Solomon'21
